Is Simple Alarm paid?

No. It is free and supported by ads.

Are my alarms uploaded anywhere?

No. Your alarms are stored only on your device, in the app’s private storage.

Can I choose my own alarm sound?

Yes. The audio file you pick in the file picker plays; it is never uploaded, and the app only accesses the file you pick.

Why does it ask for notification and exact-alarm permissions?

So the alarm rings at the exact time and shows over the lock screen.

Do I need to create an account?

No. It asks for no account, email address or phone number.
